This one sees you playing as well-known characters from classic fairy tales as they attempt to revive their authors. You’ll take on story missions, join guilds, and participate in a daily coliseum mode while gradually getting to know your growing roster.
There seems to be a heavy emphasis on co-op action, and you can easily form alliances with other players in order to take on the game’s trickiest challenges. The combat can be controlled manually or switched to auto mode, which triggers your characters to attack without any player input.
More competitive players may want to try out the guild versus guild features, where you’ll go head to head against rival players in 15v15 battles. You can also communicate with others by messaging back and forth or sending SINoALICE-themed stickers.
Creative Director Yoko Taro is best known for his work on the Drakengard and NieR series, the latter of which will cross over with SINoALICE later this month. Look for the Automata event on June 16th and the RepliCant event on August 6th.
If you’ve been waiting a while to enter into the world of SINoALICE, you’ll find it available for download now as a free-to-play game from over on the App Store and Google Play. And be sure to look back here later today to see our full interview with Taro, publisher Square Enix’s Yoshinari Fujimoto, and developer Pokelabo’s Shogo Maeda.
