It launched first on PC back in 2018, where it earned itself some very positive user reviews. Today, the team has announced that a mobile port is on the way and currently targeting an August 6th launch.
The idea is that you’ll be challenged to traverse a series of complex mazes without touching the walls. Much like, say, Frog Fractions and Pony Island before it, Puss! invites you to expect the unexpected.
Each of its worlds is guarded by a boss, and by taking them down, you’ll unlock a new ally who’ll tag along with you on your adventure. All levels are played in a random order, meaning each of your runs will be at least somewhat different to the last.
And it blends genres together as regularly as it does modern art styles, some of which include glitch art, surrealism, psychedelic art, web punk, vaporwave, and naive art.
The iOS & Android ports boast 150 levels, optimised touchscreen controls, 95 collectable avatars, achievements, and online leaderboards to scale. It sounds like a great way to play an already compelling release.
You’ll find Puss! available for pre-order/pre-registration from over on both the App Store and Google Play. It’ll launch on August 6th as a premium game priced at $2.99. If you’re not feeling especially patient, you could always grab it now from Steam at a heavily discounted price.
