The 14th Season also marks the two-year anniversary of the Royale Pass so to celebrate players will see the return of the Roaring Dragon sets alongside Dragon Hunter-themed rewards that last appeared back in Season 5.
The presentation of the pass has also been tweaked slightly for the new season. For instance, players will now find a Royale Pass Benefits page where they will be able to see consecutive purchase perks and other exclusive Royale Pass benefits. There will also be a Royale Pass Lobby Announcement that has a chance to appear after each match.
The game has also teamed up with Google to allow players to enrol in the latest Royale Pass through a new Prime Subscription service that will bring players additional benefits. There will be two levels of this membership called Prime and Prime Plus.
Some of those added bonuses include:
- 300 or 900 Royale Pass Vouchers each month
- Access to Prime-exclusive Airplane Ranking display perks
- Ongoing Redemption discounts
Naturally, given that this is a collaboration with Google, it won’t be available for iOS users. However, the PUBG Mobile team say they are working on a collaboration with Apple that should materialise in the future.
The start of the latest season comes one week after the latest map, Livik, was added to the game. This Nordic-inspired area is much smaller than other maps found in PUBG Mobile so was designed with faster matches in mind.
PUBG Mobile is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It’s a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
