Project Cars GO was originally announced way back in 2018. What’s interesting about this game is that while many mobile ports are often relegated to another developer, it seems Slightly Mad Studios – developer of all three Project Cars games on PC and console – is also creating this.
“Project Cars GO will put players in the driver’s seat to experience the adrenaline pumping racing game in a whole new way,” said Ian Bell from Slightly Mad Studios at the time of announcement. “The racing genre has a large, dedicated fan base, who are going to be stomping the gas pedal and burning rubber very soon.”
The game has already been made available as a closed beta on iOS and Android last year. Much like it’s console and PC counterparts, Project Cars GO features fully-licenced vehicles and deep car customisation options. On launch there will be 50 vehicles to drive, as well as six drag race tracks and six circuit tracks, so there’s quite a lot here for enthusiasts to enjoy.
Project Cars GO is available to pre-register on the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android with a release date of 23rd March. According to the store listing, it seems the game will be free to play with adverts and in-app purchases.
