The game serves up a smart one-touch combat system that should help keep the action fast and intuitive. Beyond the standard attacks, you’ll also have a number of special moves and ninjutsu skills to utilise during battle. New skills and upgraded variants can be unlocked as you continue to progress. It also looks the part, boasting flashy 2D animations that should appeal to fans of the anime.
To celebrate the launch, Naruto Uzumaki Seventh Hokage and Sasuke will be available to summon in-game. Logging into Ninja Tribes on each day of the celebration will net you up to 2,500 Shinobi. This translates to roughly 10 summons.
On top of that, you’ll also have the chance to earn SR Naruto from the Naruto Shippuden series as well as some bonus materials. And to celebrate the game topping 300,000 pre-registrations, all pre-registered players will receive one million Ryo, the game’s standard currency, which can then be used to purchase all manner of items and skills.
Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes’ launch for iOS and Android follows on from its browser release, which launched in partnership with Crunchyroll’s games division. Interestingly, you’ll be able to carry your progress across both the browser and mobile versions by using the same login account, offering more ways to play.
Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes is available for download now as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play to those based in the US, Canada, and Japan. A global release hopefully shouldn’t be too far off.
