As you can guess from the name of the new Magic Pass, one of those Planeswalkers will be Vivien Reid. She’s a Green-aligned ranger who possess the power to summon spirits through her bow. Joining her will be the White/Blue mage Teferi who hails from Dominaria and has access to powerful time-based magic.
As previously mentioned, the new Magic Pass will also be available, offering players two different passes – one free, one premium – that will net them a variety of rewards that includes Season Icons, Gold, Team Coins, Coins, Cards and Boosters.
In addition to the above, the premium Magic Pass also offers Planeswalkers, Skins, additional Battle Rewards and Sparks. Any of those Sparks leftover will be reset at the end of the Season, so if you do opt to buy the Magic Pass, remember to use them all up. The Season itself will run until 22nd April.
And that’s everything included in the latest update, it’s certainly not as extensive as the previous season, which saw new cards added to the game alongside Planeswalkers. However, you don’t always want to add too much too soon because the game can then become very hard to balance.
If you’re unfamiliar with Magic: ManaStrike, it’s a Clash Royale-style MOBA that’s making use of the Magic: The Gathering IP. This means that you’ll see a variety of cards that appear in the TCG in-game where they’ll maintain their Mana colours, which includes White, Blue, Red, Black and Green.
Magic: ManaStrike is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It’s a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
