In this League of Legends: Wild Rift Xayah guide you’ll find everything you need to know about the champion, from her skills and how to allocate them to her build, skill combo, and runes. Here is what you will find in the Xayah guide below:
- Xayah’s skills
- Skill combos
- Skill level-up order
- Summoner spells
Xayah, the Rebel is the next Wild Rift champion we are going to cover. She’s a powerful Marksman with a very long-range (arguably longer than the range of several other Marksmen), and with a kit that makes her a powerful pick even in professional play (in League of Legends). She’s just been released during the Lunar Beast Event and is a champion that will definitely shift a lot of attention towards herself.
Xayah is Rakan’s lover, and together they have a unique synergy, never before seen in Wild Rift. When they are laning together, both Xayah and Rakan gain some additional bonuses (like we’ve mentioned in the Rakan guide as well), with Rakan gaining increasingly more significant ones. But that doesn’t mean Xayah actually needs Rakan to be playable. On the contrary – Xayah is a more than viable Marksman champion, even without Rakan being her support.
That being said, if you want to learn a powerful Marksman champion that is often a go-to pick even for professionals, Xayah should definitely be your first choice. She’s not that difficult to play, and if you keep track of all your Feathers, you’ll have an impact on the game even as a complete beginner at this champion!

League of Legends: Wild Rift Xayah skills
Clean Cuts (Passive)
After using an ability, Xayah’s next basic attacks will hit all targets along their path and leave a Feather.
Double Daggers (Skill 1)
Xayah throws two damaging daggers that also drop Feathers she can recall.
Deadly Plumage (Skill 2)
Xayah creates a storm of blades that increase her basic attack speed and damage while granting her movement speed if she attacks a champion.
Bladecaller (Skill 3)
Xayah calls back all her dropped Feathers dealing damage and rooting enemies.
Featherstorm (Skill 4 / Ultimate)
Xayah leaps into the air becoming untargetable and throws out a fan of daggers, dropping Feathers she can recall.
How to combo as Xayah
Xayah has a couple of combos (if you want to call them that), but her kit is very situational. The most basic combo is her root combo, which we’re going to detail below. Apart from that, we’ve got some tips to help you better understand how Xayah works in Wild Rift.
– Skill 1 -> Auto-attack -> Skill 3
This would be Xayah’s main root combo if you manage to land all 3 of her feathers behind the opponent. You want to quickly cast Skill 3 as soon as you’ve auto-attacked the opponents, to call back the feathers and root the target that’s positioned incorrectly.
– Skill 4 (ultimate) -> Skill 3
Although it’s not the combo you’ll use on her most of the time during the laning phase, it’s definitely a powerful one in team fights. When Xayah casts her ultimate, she will send out multiple feathers that she can call back towards her with Skill 3. If you catch a couple of enemies in between them, they will get rooted and take damage from the feathers.
A few more tips on playing Xayah:
– You want to cast your Skill 2 when trading with an opponent
You should not cast this before (and without a reason) because it won’t have such a great impact. You will do a lot more damage if you are 100% sure that you’re in range of the auto-attacks because, with the bonus movement speed you get, you’ll be able to chase them down.
– When Rakan is your support, you’ll both deal extra damage
Well, not quite – it’s more like whenever you are laning with a Rakan, once you cast your Skill 2, missiles will fire from the both of you, and the extra movement speed will also apply to Rakan. That works extremely well if Rakan just used his ultimate and engaged upon an enemy.
– You should always pay attention to how you position your feathers
Oftentimes, enemies will lose focus during team fights and not pay attention to the feathers on the ground, ending up between them and Xayah. That’s a great opportunity to root them and catch them by surprise, resulting in an advantage for Xayah and her team.
– If you have additional feathers and cast your Ultimate, it’s basically death for the opponents
You might have already noticed this, but even in pro-play, many Xayah players place several feathers before they cast their ultimate (unless they cast the ult defensively). The damage these feathers will do on the way forth and back will be quite crazy!
In what order to level up the skills?
Xayah should always have her Skill 3 maxed first, then Skill 2, and finally then Skill 1.
- Level 1: Skill 1
- Level 2: Skill 3
- Level 3: Skill 2
- Level 4: Skill 3
- Level 5: Skill 4
- Level 6: Skill 3
- Level 7: Skill 3
Keep leveling Skill 3 until it’s maxed, then focus on Skill 2, and lastly on Skill 1. Of course, whenever you can, you want to add 1 point into your Skill 4 (ultimate).
The best summoner spells
Heal: Restores 80-360 Health and grants 30% bonus Movement Speed for 1 second to you and the most wounded nearby ally champion. Healing is halved for champions recently affected by Heal
Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction.
Wild RIft Xayah – The best runes
Wild Rift Xayah – The best items
Gluttonous Quicksilver is the best one for Xayah since it can dispel any crowd control inflicted upon her.
Gluttonous Stasis is an alternative in case there is a Zed or some deadly opponents that pose a real one-shot threat to Xayah, that her ultimate cannot otherwise mitigate.
