The news was announced in a Tweet from The Chinese Room’s account, which can be seen below. They are keeping their cards close to their chest for the moment beyond that, with the announcement merely stating that the new episode is on the way, with no other details provided.

The platformer received its first major update in October last year. This introduced a new game variant called The Lost Recordings, which was effectively a new game plus mode. Here players could collect a series of hidden orbs that were scattered throughout the world to unlock a host of new costumes.
If you’re unfamiliar with Little Orpheus, it’s a cinematic platformer that’s set in 1962, when NASA was attempting to put a man on the moon. Meanwhile, in Serbia, a Soviet Cosmonaut called Comrade Ivan Ivanovich was heading into the centre of the Earth.
He returned three years later claiming that he saved the world whilst the nuclear bomb that powered his exploration capsules, the titular Little Orpheus, has vanished. The game then sees you playing out his story that involves undersea kingdoms and prehistoric jungles.
Little Orpheus is available now over on Apple Arcade, a subscription service that costs $4.99 per month. For more information on other games that are available in its extensive library, check out our dedicated hub page.
