This follows the release of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition back in May, which offered a bump in resolution, improved touchscreen controls, and even some in-game galleries to peruse.
It was a solid port, all told, though it did come with a very premium price tag. That said, you can currently grab it for $10.99, which isn’t bad at all. Still, I’d probably recommend holding off if you plan to play the full trilogy, as I imagine we’ll eventually see some sort of discounted bundle once they’ve all arrived.
In the meantime, you can check out Dave’s full review of Trigger Happy Havoc, where he called the decade-old visual novel “an essential adventure if you’ve never played it before,” awarding it a solid Silver Rating.
If you’d like to give it a go, you’ll find Trigger Happy Havoc available for purchase now from over on the App Store
It’s well worth a shot if you’re in the market for something thrilling strange and eccentric, with a heap of memorable characters and moments to enjoy throughout. And those not feeling especially patient could instead grab Goodbye Despair now from Steam. Here’s to hoping that the original trilogy also eventually finds its way to Switch.
