Cyberpunk 2077 will release on November 19 for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Moreover, the game will offer free next-gen upgrades. Recently, the lead quest designer Patrick K. Mills offered some insights via Twitch. According to Mills, Cyberpunk 2077 main story will be shorter than what Witcher 3 had.
Among the many reasons, Mills emphasised the statistical analysis of the player behaviour. Accordingly, he mentioned that the gamers have played Witcher 3 comprehensively. However, the plenty of these players didn’t even see the end credits. Therefore, Mills said, CD Projekt Red decided a shorter campaign.
Mills said the studio wants more people to see the end of the game. On the other hand, he appeased all the worries by saying there will be plenty of DLC at the players’ disposal. Consequently, if you have a completionist mindset, the game won’t disappoint you at all.
In the future, we will see a DLC roadmap from CD Projekt Red. Yet, we already know that the game will receive DLC as much as Witcher 3 did. Surely, there will be diversity between the paid and the free content. Also, CD Projekt Red has taken a decisive turn towards the endgame. Players will be able to beat Cyberpunk 2077, without even finishing the main quest.
