It will see players choosing which path to follow out of Miyagi-Do Karate and Cobra Kai throughout the campaign and PvP mode. Aside from taking part in battles, players will set about building their own dojo before recruiting a cast of familiar faces from the show and training them to become All Valley Champions.
The battles themselves will be turn-based and see players making use of cards that are based around different kicks and punches. Each fighter will also have their own special attacks and combos to make use of.
The Story Mode will naturally take players through the narrative of the series alongside serving as an introduction to the game’s systems. Tournament mode, meanwhile, will allow players to battle head-to-head against friends and other players. Outside of combat, they’ll head back to their dojo to build decks, level up and customise their characters.
Discussing the game, Macarena Francia, producer at Gamaga said: “Working on a franchise like Cobra Kai is a dream come true for us. We think fans of the series will be overjoyed once they see how we’ve captured the spirit of Cobra Kai in this game.”
Cobra Kai: Card Fighter is available to pre-order now over on the App Store and Google Play ahead of its release on March 19th. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
