For those not in the know, this one sees up to 8 players duking it out to claim victory across dozens of maps and a variety of different game modes. One of its biggest draws is undoubtedly its giant, incredibly varied roster of pop culture characters. Fan-favourite heroes from Adventure Time, Ben 10, Hellboy, Rayman, and more have crossed over into the world of Brawlhalla since the game’s launch back in 2017.
The mobile ports will offer full crossplay with all other versions of the game when it arrives next month, as well as customisable touchscreen controls. For example, you can scale the on-screen buttons to your liking.
You can expect 50 playable characters from the get-go, with more set to arrive over time. Game modes include Brawlball, Bombsketball, Free for All, Capture the Flag, and Kung-Foot. Custom matches and a single-player tournament are also available, and you can always head to the Training Room if you want to hone your skills, look at detailed frame data, hitboxes, and more.
The game’s clearly been designed with competitive play in mind, serving up “best-in-class” spectating, match recording, and replay. Its regional servers are said to offer low-latency online play, with frequent updates, tournaments, and esports events helping to foster its active community.
Brawlhalla will launch as a free-to-play game for iOS & Android on August 6th. You can register your interest ahead of time over on Google Play and the game’s official site.
