It’s a handy means of enhancing your characters while still sticking to the same main and sub-weapons as their base class. You’re going to have to hit level 60 before the option will become available to you, and ascension is performed by embarking on a new story quest.
What’s more is that 5 fresh skills will gradually unlock as you continue to complete further quests. Another skill can also be unlocked once you’ve reached level 70.
Ascension skillbooks can be found at a fairly low rate in zones such as Soldier’s Grave and Omar Lava Cave. The ascension skill tree is said to behave quite differently from the base classes, altering the effect and performance of your more advanced skills.
Before the implementation of the ascension system, all of a character’s skills from each class were added up to work out power, defence, and overall health. The ascension tech tree does things a little differently while applying the effectiveness and upgraded skill directly to your class of choice.
On top of that, you’ll now be able to benefit from handy buffs by equipping alchemy stones. These can, for example, boost your offensive and defensive capabilities, improve drop-rates for silver and black stones, and even level up your favourite gear and weapons.
You’ll be able to carry as many of these as your heart desires, but you’re only going to be able to equip one at a time. Still, it sounds like they’ll be incredibly handy. You can either craft them using stone fragments in the alchemy lab or grind for them in Ancient Ruins.
You’ll find Black Desert Mobile available for download now as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play.
